The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the nautical heritage of Newport Harbor, southern California and the eastern Pacific through stimulating exhibitions, and inspiring education programs pertaining to nautical arts, artifacts, events and customs.

Open 10 am - 6 pm
Open everday except Tuesdays

East Wing closed for lunch from 12:30 - 1:00 pm
Steele Model Pavilion closed for lunch from
1:00 - 1:30 pm

Friday and Saturday:

Professor Brian Fagan:
"The Great Warming - Land, Oceans & the Story of the Silent Elephant in the Room"

An engaging speaker and author of "The Great Warming". Brian is an Emeritus Professor of Anthropology at UCSB.

Prof. Fagan is an archaeological consultant for many organizations, including National Geographic Society, and Encyclopaedia Britannica. In 1996, he was awarded the Society of Professional Archaeologists’ Distinguished Service Award. He has also received a Presidential Citation Award and a Public Education Award.
